Allah Chooses

Surah 22. Al-Hajj, Verse 75:

Allah chooses messengers from angels and from men for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things).

Surah 4. An-Nisa, Verse 64:

We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah’s forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.

2:30

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I am making upon the earth a successive authority.” They said, “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?” Allah said, “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.”

6:55

And thus do We detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident.

6:56

Say, “Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you invoke besides Allah.” Say, “I will not follow your desires, for I would then have gone astray, and I would not be of the [rightly] guided.”

6:57

Say, “Indeed, I am on clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which you are impatient. The decision is only for Allah. He relates the truth, and He is the best of deciders.”

28:68

And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him.

3:33

Indeed, Allah chose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of ‘Imran over the worlds –

2:124

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them. [Allah] said, “Indeed, I will make you a leader (imam) for the people.” [Abraham] said, “And of my descendants?” [Allah] said, “My covenant does not include the wrongdoers.”

38:26

[We said], “O David, indeed We have made you a successor (khalifah) upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah.” Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account.

3:26

Say, “O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.

4:54

Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them of His bounty? But we had already given the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom.

32:24

And We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and [when] they were certain of Our signs.

42:38

And those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend.

From Wasabi

35:39

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves – upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.

27:62

Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you successors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Little do you remember.

7:69

Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you? And remember when He made you successors after the people of Noah and increased you in stature extensively. So remember the favors of Allah that you might succeed.

7:74

And remember when He made you successors after the ‘Aad and settled you in the land, [and] you take for yourselves palaces from its plains and carve from the mountains, homes. Then remember the favors of Allah and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.”

“When Allah and His messenger have decreed a matter, it is not for any believing man or woman to have a choice in the matter.” (33:36)

“The Prophet has a greater authority over the believers than they themselves have.” (33:6)

3:159

So by mercy from Allah , [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].
